"Pioneer Woman" Ree Drummond to Star in Christmas Movie

The Food Network is the last place I would have expected to watch a Rom Com Movie. That still holds true, but the food channel has teamed up with Discovery+ on the first original scripted film that will air on their streaming service. Ree Drummond will make her acting debut co-starring with Molly McCook in "Candy Coated Christmas" this coming November.

According to Variety, the role was written for Drummond. Her character is a bakery owner who helps a woman (McCook) who has returned to the town of Peppermint Hollow where her mother lived. Food Network will offer content related to "Candy Coated Christmas", such as recipes and seasonal ideas.
